About a week ago, I put a request out to other bloggers to see if I could get honest reviews on my book, The Caging at Deadwater Manor. During this process, I met Mandy Peterson. As it turns out, she is a young adult science fiction author and had a book out too. So, we decided to do an honest review of each other's books.

I love a good science fiction book, especially ones that take you into space and a new reality. I'm always drawn to science fiction movies too. Honestly, I have to say that if you like science fiction, you HAVE to read Before I Shatter by Mandy Peterson. I was captured immediately by the story. It's about a teenager named Vita - a strong female character who's strength is tested over and over as she battles her own fears while facing different dimensions in space. Mandy does a great job with her descriptive prose that helps one visualize what it would be like to live on the moon and a life wracked with being one big science experiment. There's a little bit of love, dysfunction, and intrigue in this very addicting book that I didn't want to end.

The good news is that there's a second book coming out soon! After I Break will be released on July 28, 2017. This story will provide more background on Vita, and I'm looking forward to getting to know her better! I've already preorder the book on Amazon. The cover reveal will be on July 7 - so, I can't wait to see that as well!
