I have been writing, though. I’ve started my third novel, which is turning out to be a psychological thriller. It started with this blonde guy who popped into my mind one day and hasn’t left since. He’s a regular guy, mid 20’s, middle-class. I didn’t know where the story would go at first. I just kept envisioning a scene he was seeing over and over that included the back of a man who was doing...something. I wasn’t able to figure out what he was doing at first – just that it was dark and disturbing. And that there was a chain involved.
Since then, I’ve developed the entire story. It’s outlined. I know the direction, the mood, the characters. The next few months will be an emotional ride through the ins and outs of every corner of the story. You see, when I write, I feel every part of the story through every character. I enact it. I cry. Get mad. Feel empathy. It’s quite the exhausting process at times, but I love it.
Hope you are all doing well and writing and reading when you can. If you’ve stopped by for my publisher’s blog hop – see my home page for more details on it and the status of my books. I'm hoping for my first book, The Caging at Deadwater Manor to be released in July 2016. Just waiting on the book cover and then it'll be out!
Until next time -- Sandie
