New Fantasy Read!

10/19/2019

With all the publishing prep I've been doing this year, I rarely have time to read books, especially outside of my genre. But I just had to read and share Jennifer Zamboni's. I mean, who wouldn't? She's got a mix of vampires, faes, and werewolves in her fantasy duology. I've read the first book, Beauty is the Beast, and will be onto the second book soon because I became addicted by the end of the book and must find out what happens next! And my goodness, look at those book covers! They are fantastic. She has some great reviews, too!

Bio: Jen loves books. Reading them, writing them, reviewing them, and collecting them. (She claims it's not hoarding)

Urban fantasy is the name of her game, and being a mom is her day job. She also is a licensed cosmetologist, though she no longer works in a salon.

She lives in the boondocks of Maine with her husband, 2 girls, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 vocally insistent cockatiel.

Gretchen is a 24-year-old-hairstylist with secrets: She likes to chase squirrels and howl at the moon. She’s also not really 24.

When one of her coworkers turns up dead in the salon, she suspects that the murderer isn’t entirely human. When another stylist is murdered, and then another, she goes on the prowl. A circus with a secret side show catches her attention, as does her former pack, and a group of visiting vampires.

Her only outlet is her music, but that will only keep her wolf on a leash for so long with a killer on the loose.

Being alpha isn’t easy.

Gretchen wants a normal life: working in the salon, making music, and settling in with her new pack. If only her wolf side wouldn’t make decisions without her.

She survived betrayal and the fight for her freedom, so relationship issues and a group of fae-blooded circus freaks in her kitchen should be a breeze. But a plea from another pack and the exposure of the fae, including werewolves, to the human world just might tip the scale on her sanity.

Good thing she has good friends, a man who loves her, and music that soothed the savage beast.

Join Gretchen as she gives in to romance, discovers new truths about old friends, and embraces her role as alpha.

There will be two more in this series: Worlds War, which Jen hopes to release in January, & The Were Zone, which Jen is hoping will be available next summer. She's also starting a paranormal romance duology set in the same world.

Good luck to Jen!
